Short of being thrown into a cell next to Daredevil’s Wilson Fisk, we confess – We have been stalking Instagram for women with amazing tomboy styles for 10 weeks now. We would stalk the men too had most of the styles not looked like everyone raided Justin Timberlake’s closet or Justin Bieber’s. Sorry guys! That’s too much happy crack for us.
The ladies are still doing tomboy style right, so let’s get to it sisters! It’s week #10 of our inspiring tomboy styles of the week. In case you didn’t know what this series is all about – well, we started it to celebrate and appreciate the women who are inventing their own timeless inspiring classic tomboy looks. Watch out for Kelsey Hunter, our chic tomboy singer who has a new album and single out. With her practical cowgirl look, what’s not there to like about this American heartlander style? We’ll be interviewing her soon our site so keep checking in for that. Meanwhile, get your acoustic guitars out and get to following her on Instagram. She may sing you a song for it.
Asos Hannah is Hannah Anderson, a musician who describes herself as a frilly tomboy living the high tomboy life in the City of Angels, LA. Her vibe is very FKA Twigs and what can we say, we absolutely dig her style and her music. You can shop her looks at her ASOS account or follow her personal Instagram account. You can also check out her music here. We’re just upping our tomboy style beats here guys! Now, where’s that keyboard dammit! 😉
MrStreetPeeper or Phil Oh, is undoubtedly our favourite street photographer who managed to snap a picture of some random models who pulled off 50s inspired Teddy Girl styles. Not easy to do that these days unless you live in a vintage clothing store or your gran’s basement. Either way, we thinks these ladies got it right and even threw in some modern contemporary jackets on for size. To see more of Phil’s urban photographic shenanigans head to Phil [email protected]‘s account.
Hyde Hats is a Philadelphia based headwear company that focuses on quality and innovative designs. The brand is stylish and care free. The style you see here is all-American tomboy and if that’s the kind of look you’re gunning for, then head down to their online store or check out their Instagram account for some more heartland commando-inspired tomboy styles. While the brand is from Philly, this is clearly, tomboy style with a southern drawl, y’all and best be bringing ‘yer truck with you but hey, no deer hunting people! We might be out in the country with this look but we’re all animal lovers here.
Traveller, blogger and woman of fine taste, Alba Paul Ferrer travels the world on her Instagram account, yet keeps things very casual tomboy chic as you can see here with reversed baseball hat, V-neck tee and a loose jacket. For Alba, “Everything happens for a reason” and we bet that’s a philosophy that dictates her tomboy chic style as well.
We took a peek into personal fashion stylist, Adenike Bankole-Watson’s closet and boy, what a range of looks this girl is going for. Her crisp and sharp Janelle Monae-inspired styles are a pleasure to see on her Instagram account. We were drooling over this outfit of the day because we love the white top with it’s ruffled collar that reminds us of what Prince and Adam Ant used to don back in the 80s. It goes well with the tailored 3/4 pants and suspenders. Rather gentlemanly if you ask us. Tally ho tomboys!
