There is something so FKA Twigs and Lenny Kravitz about these two tomboy-styled ladies, it’s hard not to pay attention. Photographed by @christingaling who also happens to photograph Ari Fitz, this sunny yellow/beige look paired off with retro boyfriend jeans is cool, chic and really gives off late 80s/early 90s vibes. Follow @azhaayanna and @rgb, the two ladies featured here on their Instagrams for more cool styles.
Tomboy chic goes well with the rasta andro look courtesy of the guys at Instagram account, Oldirtiislim. If Sesame Street went Quentin Tarantino, this would be Maria and the gang right there on the steps of this New York apartment. OK, enough stereotyping. We want to give much love to these ladies and applaud them for wearing tomboy style with great attitude – the only way to pull the look off really.
If there was a tomboy version of Gotham City’s most notorious villain, we are placing all our bets on Edie. Check out this model’s quirky Instagram account, with this party look being one of her many, many outfits of the day. We love the mismatched heels paired off with the green sparkly suit and orange tie that says, ‘Don’t mess with my splash of colours!’ The Elton John retro glasses are also a nice touch along with the rainbow-painted face. We are so digging this style because it simply says that if you put some thought into it, tomboy style can be really punk ass rockin’. Booya!
Who digs Seoul-based photographer Alex Finch, eh? His works can be seen in VOGUE and he has an amazing eye for catching what’s going down in tomboy style and more from the streets of this S.Korean city. Here, we see some springtime action in denim with stripped palazzos and striped red and black belt with denim coat and shirt. A great minimalistic style that can be pulled off in true East Asian flavour.
Who said the neighbourhood tomboys of Asia can’t be fashionable. This dynamic duo from Thailand have got the ‘tomboy-next-door’ look down. This look comes in twin identical tops paired off one capping it off with sneaks and baggy jeans, while the other takes a more femme approach with boyfriend jeans and sandals. It’s all good for the countryside, that’s what we think. You can follow these ladies on Instagram and let the dynamic duo know that you dig their easy style. Follow them here on Instagram.
Gotta love pictures that tell a story. You don’t get a lot of those on Instagram but this one caught our eyes because it was almost a painting of two tomboy-styled women at a fast-food place. Both women absorbed in their thoughts. Very creative. This photo is definitely representing some serious street style with the boots and sneaks paired up with jeggings and hoodie, a pair of combat pants along with a red turtleneck. All in all, it’s definitely making us super curious what’s going on in this picture.
