All hail Ari Fitz and Hellathrifty in this double print showdown of epic street proportions. The combat skinnies and graphic sleeveless tee worn by Ari goes well with the Jamaican-influenced print shirt worn by her tomboy-styled companion on the right. What can we say except it’s ‘hella’ good? Follow Ari Fitz and Hellathrifty for more tomboy style goodness.
Elvina Raharja is a tomboy lassie from the Indonesia and she’s rocking a cool denim jacket in this chic ensemble. Elvina travels, loves fashion and enjoys hip hop dancing. Check out her jamming dance videos on her Instagram account. You might just end up wanting to throw down a few steps with her. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
O my! Our favourite photographer Alex Finch, from Seoul does it again! His works can be seen in VOGUE and he has an amazing eye for catching what’s going down in tomboy style and more from the streets of this S.Korean city. Here, we see an easy James Dean styled white tee and denim pants combo matched with satchel purse and baseball cap. It’s super Asian tomboy style that we dig.
MrStreetPeeper aka Phil Oh captures another unexpected punk tomboy girl look with this photo. Match your Blondie do with a black graphic sweatshirt with button down shirt and pants and strut your stuff. Don’t knock New York in the process. We want you to stay within the law when showing off your tomboy style people!
Finally! Someone who is injecting tomboy style with new life. Ari Fitz is the spokes person fashion expert for all tomboys now. She also started The TOMBOYISH on Instagram which is a great account to follow and find inspiring tomboy styles from around the world. She makes it all look effortless in this layered look where she has a flannel shirt, an open hoodie and topped off by a brown denim jacket. If you want more inspiration, head down to her YouTube channel as well. She rocks!
A lot of the time, when we talk about tomboy style, we forget about the older women over 45 who were our tomboy icons and paved the way for the rest of us 45 and below. In fact, ageism is something we never talk about. Rossella Jardini, along with the Helen Mirrens, Judy Denches and Julia Roberts is changing all of that. The former creative director of Moschino—she inherited the label from Franco, whom she worked alongside—is back in action after a two-year absence with an eponymous collection. She is a classic tomboy who gives off a lot of Diane Keaton vibes in this photo with her pantsuit and uber-cool fashion designer glasses. Just head to her Instagram account for more looks and styles. You can check out her amazing new collection at her website.
